Mr. Stefanos Tamvakis during his short stay in Athens had a very constructive meeting with the Minister of the Diaspora of Armenia, Hranoush Hakobyan, on the occasion of her visit in Greece.

Since the Government of Armenia is currently progressing towards the establishment and organization of a similar body to SAE, for the Armenian Diaspora, the discussion and briefing which was made by Mr. Tamvakis, with regards to the institutional and legal framework, the operation and activities of the World Council of Hellenes Abroad were of particular interest to Ms Hakobyan who expressed her interest to have an in depth knowledge of those issues.

Mr. Tamvakis also had a meeting with the General Secretary of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ioannis-Alexios Zeppos, with whom they discussed issues regarding the broader cooperation of SAE and our diplomatic authorities for the promotion and addressing issues concerning the Greek Diaspora.

Furthermore, he expressed his sincere gratitude to Mr. Zeppos for the excellent cooperation and support to SAE, which the Secretary of the Ministry has given from all the posts he has served over time.
