Today, the President of the World Council of Hellenes Abroad (SAE), Mr. Stefanos Tamvakis had a meeting with the Deputy Minister for the Greek Diaspora, Mr. Demetris Dollis, which was the first meeting since his appointment.

The President of SAE congratulated Mr. Dollis for his appointment in this very important position for Hellenism around the world, expressing that all members of the SAE Board of Directors are pleased to know that for the first time an experienced Greek politician of the Diaspora, who is well aware of the issues regarding Greeks abroad, was appointed as Deputy FM for the Greek Diaspora.

During the meeting, which was held in a friendly atmosphere at the Ministry of Foreign affairs, in view of the 7th Meeting of the Board of Directors to be held in Thessaloniki (on the 1st – 2nd of October), ideas and views were exchanged on the future of the organization and the Greek Diaspora in general.

At the joint meeting of the SAE Board on Saturday, 2nd of October in Thessaloniki, the Deputy FM, Mr. Demetris Dollis will present the key government priorities for the Hellenism of the Diaspora, while all aspects related to the operation and mission of SAE, fifteen years since its establishment, will be discussed.
